Volkswagon Scramble

Sunday 27th January

Open to men and women, this event is in an Ambrose format with special Volkswagen Scramble rules applying. Winners progress to the regional finals in March.

Ladies’ Wyong Classic & Shield

Friday 22nd March

This is a Jean Derrin Event. Defending Champion is Kim Burke from Shelly Beach, who in 2018 shot a course record 73.

Men’s Foursomes

Saturday 11th May

Our annual alternate shot, team Championship where the motto is: “never apologise!” Defending champions are Jason Hyde and Dylan Grogan.

Men’s Captain v President

Saturday 25th May

A Club event with a long tradition. Players are divided into two teams, a coloured ribbon indicating whether they are playing for the President or the Captain. The President’s team are defending winners from 2018.

Ladies’ Rose Cottage Day

Thursday 30th May

This event raises funds for the Rose Cottage Northern Womens Health Centre located in Wyong. We are always looking for sponsorship for this day.

Men’s Wyong Open Amateur

Saturday 7th September

A premier event on our calendar, the Wyong Open Amateur is a Vardon event that is keenly contested, attracting a high class field including many visitors with low handicaps. Kyle Grant from Mona Vale, who shot 71, is the defending champion.

Men’s and Ladies’ Senior Open

Tuesday 10th September

Part of the Central Coast Senior’s Week of Golf, this is a Golf NSW Senior Order of Merit event which is attracting an increasing following. The shotgun morning round is followed by a lunch in the auditorium. Ken Brewer from Lynwood, who shot 75, is the defending champion. For the first time this year we welcome entries from lady golfers.

Wyong Ladies Open Day

Thursday 12th September

An invitational day for our Ladies, including visitors as well as members.

Mixed Foursomes

Sunday 22nd September

A 27 hole foursomes Championship event which offers the ultimate opportunity for a player to demonstrate courtesy and sportsmanship to his or her teammate. Defending champions were Ethan Forsyth and Kelly Edwards.

Wyong Pro-Am

Wednesday 2nd October

A flagship event on the Club’s calendar, which attracts professionals from far and wide including winners on tours around the globe. Always keenly supported by sponsors, members and aspiring golf professionals. Defending champion is Brody Martin who shot five-under 66.

Men’s Club Championships

Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th, Saturday 26th October and Saturday 2nd November

The premier men’s event on the calendar, the Club Championships test players’ abilities in a stroke format over four rounds. In addition to the coveted cup presented to the Club Champion, other award-winners include B and C Grade Champions, Senior Champion and Junior Champion. Ethan Forsyth is the defending Club Champion.

Men’s Knockouts

Finals to be played by the end of October

Qualifying rounds for the Singles and Teams knockout competitions are held in March with the leading 32 competitors progressing to the knockouts. Grahaeme Anderson is the defending Singles Knockout champion whilst Jason Hyde and Pat Longobardi are the defending Teams Knockout champions.

Men’s Gold Medal Day

Saturday 2nd November

Winners of the monthly medals throughout the year compete for the Gold Medal in their respective grades.

Christmas Cheer Days

Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd December

Our traditional Christmas Cheer Days provide the opportunity for players to win prizes to add to their festivities. A best-dressed prize ensures that you don’t even have to play well to win a Christmas cake.
