Volkswagon Scramble

Sunday 19th January

Open to men and women, this event is in an Ambrose format with special Volkswagen Scramble rules applying. Winners progress to the regional finals in March.

Ladies’ Wyong Classic & Shield

Friday 20th March

This is a Jean Derrin Event. Defending Champion is Stacie McDonald from Merewether GC.

Men’s Foursomes

Saturday 27th June

Our annual alternate shot, team Championship where the motto is: “never apologise!” Defending champions are Ethan Forsyth and Dylan Grogan.

Men’s Wyong Open Amateur

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled for 2020

A premier event on our calendar, the Wyong Open Amateur is a Vardon event that is keenly contested, attracting a high class field including many visitors with low handicaps. Reid Brown from Pymble, who shot 71, is the defending champion.

Men’s and Ladies’ Senior Open

Part of the Central Coast Senior’s Week of Golf, this is a Golf NSW Senior Order of Merit event which is attracting an increasing following. The shotgun morning round is followed by a lunch in the auditorium. David McMillan from Twin Creeks, who shot 75, is the defending champion of the SOOM event whilst Kim Burke is the defending women’s champion.

Mixed Foursomes

Sunday 11th October

Normally a 27 hole foursomes Championship event, after the wash-out on 20th September, the rescheduled event has been reduced to 18 holes. The Mixed Foursomes offers the ultimate opportunity for a player to demonstrate courtesy and sportsmanship to his or her teammate. Defending champions are Ethan Forsyth and Kelly Edwards.

Men’s Knockouts

Finals to be played in September (Singles) and November (Teams)

Qualifying rounds for the Singles and Teams knockout competitions are held in February with the leading 32 competitors progressing to the knockouts. Jason Hyde is the defending Singles Knockout champion whilst Craig Wickham and Nick Russell are the defending Teams Knockout champions.

Wyong Pro-Am

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled for 2020

A flagship event on the Club’s calendar, which attracts professionals from far and wide including winners on tours around the globe. Always keenly supported by sponsors, members and aspiring golf professionals. Defending champion is Brody Martin who shot six-under 65.

Men’s Club Championships

Saturday 17th, Sunday 18th, Saturday 24th and 31st October

The premier men’s event on the calendar, the Club Championships test players’ abilities in a stroke format over four rounds. In addition to the coveted cup presented to the Club Champion, other award-winners include B and C Grade Champions, Senior Champion and Junior Champion. Mark Pavy is the defending Club Champion.

Men’s Gold Medal Day

Saturday 31st October

Winners of the monthly medals throughout the year compete for the Gold Medal in their respective grades.

Men’s Captain v President

Saturday 14th November

A Club event with a long tradition. Players are divided into two teams, a coloured ribbon indicating whether they are playing for the President or the Captain. The Captain’s team are defending winners from 2019.

Christmas Cheer Days

Thursday 10th, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th December

Our traditional Christmas Cheer Days provide the opportunity for players to win prizes to add to their festivities. A best-dressed prize ensures that you don’t even have to play well to win a Christmas cake.
